This certification-related course will present the firefighter candidate with the knowledge, skills, and ability to satisfy the requirements of Chapters Five and Six of NFPA 1001: Standard for Firefighter Professional Qualifications. This course focuses on firefighter survival techniques and on identifying factors that place firefighters in dangerous situations. This course is part of the NC Firefighter Certification Program approved by the NC Fire and Rescue Commission for offering as of January 1, 2015.
