Guilford County Sheriff BJ Barnes reports on Friday June 8, 2019 deputies were involved in a motor vehicle pursuit in the area of Liberty Rd. in the portion of Archdale that is located in Guilford County.

At approximately 10:43 p.m. on June 8th, 2018 deputies attempted to stop a dark colored Honda for driving left of center and suspicion of DWI.  The vehicle failed to stop making a U-turn in front of officers and blowing out a tire.  Officers engaged in a vehicle pursuit that covered 2.5 miles and entered the city of Archdale.  Archdale Police Department officers assisted in the chase which entered a townhome complex on Brittany Way in Archdale.  While attempting to elude officers, the suspect backed his vehicle into the front end of an officer’s car causing minor damage.  Officers were able to pin the suspect vehicle in a space and arrested the driver without incident.

Aaron Glisson, W/M, DOB: 11-09-1987 from Gastonia N.C. was charged with Felony Speeding to Elude, Misdemeanor Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Resist, Delay and Obstructing an Officer, Driving While License Revoked and multiple traffic violations.

Glisson was placed in the High Point Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond.
