Guilford County Division of Public Health's Sexual Health Action Group Announces No-Cost STI Clinics in Commemoration of National HIV Testing Day

Post Date:06/24/2024 10:58 AM

The Guilford County Division of Public Health's Sexual Health Action Group (SHAG) is proud to announce a week-long series of no-cost and confidential sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing clinics in honor of National HIV Testing Day.

Observed annually on June 27, National HIV Testing Day serves as a reminder of the critical role that HIV testing plays in combating the spread of HIV/AIDS. From June 25 to June 29, the Guilford County community is invited to participate in this vital initiative aimed at promoting sexual health and raising awareness about the importance of regular STI testing.

By offering STI clinics, SHAG encourages individuals to take control of their sexual health and prioritize regular testing as part of their healthcare routine. The clinics will offer no-cost and confidential testing for a range of STIs, including HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, and hepatitis C.

"We are committed to promoting sexual health and well-being within our community," said Jordan Wilson, Community Health Educator, Guilford County Division of Public Health. "By providing no-cost and confidential STI testing, we hope to remove barriers to access and empower individuals to make informed decisions about their sexual health."

The clinics will be staffed by trained healthcare professionals who will ensure a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for all participants. No appointments are necessary, and walk-ins are welcome during clinic hours.

All testing is open to the public and will take place in the following locations:
