Sheriff BJ Barnes reports that the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office has identified the partial skeletal remains which were located in Browns Summit on Wednesday August 8, 2018, as Jamar Manasseh Rose (Black Male, 18 Years of Age). DNA was collected and processed by the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office and Dental Records were also used to aid in the identification.

Mr. Rose had been reported missing to the Reidsville Police Department on July 30, 2018. A Missing Person Investigation was being conducted by the Reidsville Police Department with the assistance of the State Bureau of Investigations. The case is now being investigated as a Homicide by the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office and the Reidsville Police Department and State Bureau of Investigations are assisting.

Mr. Rose was known to be driving a black 2008 Mercedes Benz with NC tag number FFJ-9028. The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the community's help in locating this vehicle and is asking anyone who finds the car to immediately call 911.
