Sheriff Rogers reports that, as a part of an ongoing response to the tragic active shooter situations occurring, the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a community forum on the topics of safety and security in our churches and other places of worship. The event will include training for faith leaders on ways to mitigate violent threats and responses to violent crises within our community’s places of worship. Representatives of the Sheriff’s Office will also be on-hand and available to answer questions and to address specific safety concerns.
This forum will be hosted at, and in cooperation with, a gracious local church, Lawndale Baptist. Without their help this effort would not be possible and the Sheriff would like to thank the staff for their willingness to help in this effort. The event will be held:
Monday, September 16th (6:00pm-7:30pm)
Lawndale Baptist Church
3505 Lawndale Dr, Greensboro, NC 27408
Phone: (336) 288-3824
Leaders in the faith community (and their staff) are encouraged to attend and participate in the dialogue. For questions about these upcoming training opportunities, or to schedule a church security survey, please email or call:
